Investigate materials and forces as budding engineers. This workshop gets pupils to build, test and modify their own land yacht. Design a sail from everyday materials and ride like the wind in an exciting finale where pupils can compete in an exciting race! Along the way, you’ll learn about materials, forces and design.

Building a city is not an easy thing to do, and to build a great city where the people who live there are happy and healthy we have to understand the built environment. In this workshop students take on the role of urban planners, learning what the built environment is, why it matters, and how they can make meaningful changes not only for themselves but for generations to follow.
